Despite COVID, there are plans still ongoing for the 2021 Presidential Inauguration, scheduled for January20th, 2021.
Traditionally there have been a large crowds of public attending these events, and along with the crowds, a large local and federal public safety response to the events surrounding the inauguration.

Details for the 2021 inauguration are still being announced. As of Dec. 15, the Presidential Inaugural Committee recommends that Americans should stay home and celebrate virtually. This guide will be updated with more inauguration information as it becomes available. Note the latest travel safety information before planning your visit.I think there will still be crowds of public in Washington DC for this event, and there will still be a large number of DC and federal agencies operating for the inauguration.
